My name is:  Dr. Roger Glenn Ball

I was born in Greeneville, TN.  I have lived most of my life in Northeast Tennessee.  I am married to Sheila L. Ball (Allen).  Sheila and I have been married for 28 years (come August 18th).  She is my only wife and I am her only husband.  We have two daughters:  Emily 26 and Abbie 23.  Both are married and live out of state with their respective husbands.

I am Licensed and Ordained.  Both were by Mountain View Baptist Church, Bristol, VA in 1996

Statement of Faith:  I am a Born-Again Child of God, who believes the Bible is the Inspired, Inerrant, Infallible and Indestructible Word of God.  It is to be taken literally, unless the text tells you to do otherwise (context and comparing Scripture with Scripture will alert the reader whether or not to take something as symbolic or allegorical).   It is our authoritative guide and light.  The sinfulness of man and the need of The Savior are revealed in its pages.   The Bible is both living and life-giving.  (See:  Hebrews 4:12, Romans 10:17 and 1 Peter 1:23)

The Word of God is about The Lord Jesus Christ from cover to cover.  Jesus, and Jesus alone, is the only way to God and heaven.  (John 14:6)  I believe that Salvation is purely by God’s grace thru faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ, apart from works or law-keeping.  (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:8-12 and Romans 4:1-7)  I believe that ANYONE who humbly and sincerely calls on The Name of The Lord can and will be Saved.  (Romans 10:13)  I believe that once an individual is truly Born-Again, he or she can NEVER be lost again.  (John 10:28-29)

Experience:

I have served as Pastor of three churches:  Warrensburg Baptist Church, Greene Hills Baptist Church and Westerly Heights Baptist Church.   I have served as Assistant Pastor at two churches:  Mountain View Baptist Church and Sunrise Baptist Church.

 

Preaching Topics:   I usually preach evangelistic messages on Sunday Mornings, discipleship and pedagogical messages on Sunday Nights.  Wednesday nights are usually a Bible Study (relatively brief) to allow ample time for prayer time.  I preach the text of The Bible, not my or someone else’s opinions.  I am open to suggestions, if there is a topic the Pastor, or congregation feels is needed, but I prefer to just listen to The Holy Spirit and preach what God lays on my heart.

Additional Special Note:

If you were to do a google search on my name you would find that seven years ago I was arrested and charged with “solicitation of a minor.”  The charges were NOT true and when brought to trial were dismissed by the court.  The “criminal record” was ordered expunged by the court.

I don’t expect anyone to believe this without proof.  I have, and am willing to show, the notarized court documents I have in my possession.  Even though the charges were dropped and the record expunged, unfortunately, newspapers and a private individual doesn’t seem think it is necessary to remove the baseless allegations.   The paper reported that I “confessed to the charges,” which is the furthermost thing from the truth!

If you are inclined to believe everything you read in the paper or online, then don’t bother to contact me.  I would ask that you be a mature Christian and not spread further Gossip.
