Durso, Michael

Hello!
My name is Michael Durso, I am 36 years old (as of 2020) and I live near St. Louis, Missouri and am a father of four. I’m a former Baptist minister who has been working in the residential painting industry for the last few years. I hold a BA in Biblical Exposition from Moody Bible Institute (2013) with an interdisciplinary emphasis in Biblical Languages, and I received the Homiletical Jury Award during my senior year.

I am also an Air Force veteran; I served 7 years in the security and law enforcement field before being medically discharged in 2010.
I am a co-founder of a ministry called Deep Truth for Deep Wounds (still in the planning and development stage) that offers online support and teaching for those affected by divorce.

My philosophy of preaching is to focus primarily on exposition, and every sermon communicates one central message, rooted in the Gospel. I do not believe in “making” the Bible relevant, but rather demonstrating its relevance for life and service with the Gospel as its central Word.

For pulpit supply engagements I can travel around the Midwest as long as travel expenses and meals can be provided. Honorarium is negotiable.
