Fleming, Scott A.

FlemingRev. Scott Fleming’s passions are preaching the Word of God, the cure of souls, discipleship, outreach, and theological education. He believes that these five pillars are essential to the life and growth of the church. He is committed to sharing each of these passions with any church that might listen with a hope that it might embrace them.

His ministerial experience includes service as a supply pastor, youth minister, associate pastor, and hospital chaplain. He is currently serving as the pastoral care supervisor of a hospital in the Orlando area and as an associate pastor of a rural Southern Baptist church in Ferndale, FL. Scott also serves as a pastoral consultant, college professor, clinical ethicist, and provides clinical pastoral supervision to pastoral counseling / chaplain interns. He is in the process of writing his first book entitled, “Healing the Fractured Soul: A Trauma-Informed Theology for Clinical Pastoral Care and Counseling”.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies with a minor in Preaching and Evangelism from The Baptist College of Florida and a Master of Divinity with a specialization in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He has completed additional studies at Mercer University, Baylor College of Medicine, Northwestern University, and other institutions of higher learning. Scott is presently simultaneously working on a Doctor of Ministry  degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Master of Theology. Among his many certifications and professional memberships, he is a board certified pastoral counselor and clinical chaplain within the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy.

References are available upon request. Scott ascribes to The Baptist Faith and Message 2000  but is open to preaching to any Christian congregation.
