Education/Experience: BS in Secondary Education & Psychology from McMurry University (1988); 20 years of direct area ministry on Young Life staff (as well as camp & retreat speaking); lay teaching pastor (2011-13) of Journey Church (Kingwood, Tx); Adult Bible Study, Parenting & Children’s Church teaching at WUCP (currently), Preach when called upon at WUCP as well. 15 years as a public Educator and currently teach Social Sciences and coach at Lamar HS (Houston).

Preaching Topics: I am a Gospel story teller and teacher. I take an expository and relatable approach to explaining and applying Biblical principles. I am animated and passionate and always believing that the Holy Spirit is at work in every listener fueled by His Word rather than my words.

Additional Notes: I am excited to share my love for proclaiming the Gospel in various settings: Sunday Services, Retreats, Rallies, Youth & Family Camps… There is not a population or setting that I don’t enjoy or look forward to serving.

Brief Biography: An unchurched (unreached) delinquent teen, I began my relationship with Jesus while reading John 3 in a Bible that was left in my room. Jesus and His Body delivered me through a father leaving (homosexuality), poverty, abuse, a brother’s murder and several other life events. Along the way God placed, ministers, educators and coaches in my path to minister to me. It is why I have spent my life in education and ministry to students and their families. Having been married 32 years and raising 3 daughters who are either in ministry or married to ministers, I am leaving a legacy quite different that what my circumstances would have produced had Jesus not interrupted my life. Tricia and I teach and mentor 30 young families and also provide SYMBIS premarital counseling.
