McCloud, Pete
Good day to you. My name is Pete McCloud. I am 35 years old and have been married to my wife for 16 years and have three teenage boys. My wife, children and I live in Polk City Iowa. I am currently finishing my last couple semesters of school at Liberty University, Wilmington School of Bible, where I will finish with a Diploma of Theology with a Major in Biblical Studies. We would probably classify ourselves as non-denominational, though I come from a Baptist background.
When It comes to my preaching style I would hope that it is found to be expositional. It is very important to me that I handle the word of truth correctly at all and any time that I share it. I desire to keep my audience interested and so you can expect energy. I preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ unashamedly and desire that there is always a clear understanding of his work on the cross alone for our salvation. I have promised the Lord as much as is within me that I desire not to add or take away from his written word and that I should preach not my own thoughts or agenda but Gods alone. I also find in Scripture that God calls us to encourage, challenge and hold accountable our brothers and sisters in the Lord, and that there should be a noticeable difference between those in the congregation who are believers and those who are not. I certainly do not mean to say that there should be some kind of “holier than thou” attitude, rather that those who profess and truly know Christ emit a trait that is desirable to the unbeliever. I think that each person should leave different than they came in and the proper sharing of Gods word makes that possible.
I do not claim to know it all or have all the answers, however I know the one who does. I would be happy to speak with you and discuss how God can use us in your ministry. Unfortunately we live in a world controlled by money and high gas prices, with that said there will need to be an honorarium for my pulpit supply services. Thank you for taking the time to read through this and may God bless you more than he already has.
