After graduating from San Diego State University with a degree in kinesiology, I moved to Louisville, Kentucky, to begin my Master’s of Divinity program at Southern Baptist Seminary while working part-time as a personal trainer through Urban Active Fitness.  When my ecclesial convictions changed, I transferred my program to Westminster Seminary California, where I’m currently enrolled.  I’m a member in good standing at Christ United Reformed Church in Santee, and have been licensed to exhort in the United Reformed Churches of North America since May 2012.  After successfully sustaining my licentiate’s exam, I spent 6 weeks as an intern at Chiesa  Riformata Filadelfia Evangelica in Milan, Italy under the supervision of Rev. Andrea Ferrari.  In the summer of 2013, I spent 10 weeks as a summer intern at Grace United Reformed Church in Kennewick, Washington under Rev. Craig Davis, and recently completed an 8 week internship at Belgrade United Reformed Church under Rev. Paul Lindemulder.  I began my third (and hopefully, final!) year of study at Westminster Seminary in the fall of 2014, and will graduate (DV) in May of 2015.

I continue to work part-time at Westminster Seminary as a circulation assistant in the library, while occasionally traveling to different URC churches in North America for pulpit supply.  I’ve been married to my wife, Brooke, for just over 2 years (herself a former student at Westminster, and current assistant to one of the professors), and we welcomed our daughter, Elizabeth, in October of 2014.
